1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)
5 teaspoon Chana Dal
3 long Red chili
1/2 pinch
Asafoetida (Hing)
1 strip Curry leaves
1 pinch Tamarind
2 teaspoon
Oil
1 medium
Ridge Gourd ( Heere kaay)
1/2 teaspoon
Salt

Method

  1. Peel thorns out of ride gourd
  2. Cut into half
  3. Peel the skin
  4. Cut into small pieces
  5. Put 2 teaspoon of oil in frying pan
  6. Add mustard and cumin seeds
  7. Add the skin
  8. Cook till it becomes soft
  9. Meanwhile, make paste out of chana dal, red chilis, hing, curry leaves and tamarind
  10. Add cooked ridge gourd skin to the paste
  11. Add salt
  12. Grind the mix adding water as needed
