Method

  1. Boil the chopped potato in microwave for 3-4 minutes in high heat.
  2. Pour 3 teaspoon oil in a shallow frying pan in low-medium heat.
  3. Add urad dal, chana dal, green chillis (chopped finely), and curry leaves.
  4. Once the dals have turned golden brown, add mixed vegetables, boiled potato, and groundnuts.
  5. Stir for a few seconds till the vegetables mix nicely with the oil.
  6. Add water and then salt.
  7. Once the water comes close to a boil, slowly add the rava to the water, while stirring the mixture clockwise at the same time. If not stirred, the rava will form lumps.
  8. If required, add a little water or rava.
  9. Once the mixture thickens (should be almost instantaneous), keep in heat for a couple of minutes and switch off the gas.
